Omotenashi Hostel Miyajima

One of the best hostels ive stayed in, the girl in reception kindly let me put my bicycle in the entrance hall which is locked at night and very secure. The hostel is nicely located about 3 kms ftom the ferry so it was great to go there after a day on the island seeing the Tori gate etc. They serve evening meals up until 21.30 and the meal i had was great along with the breakfast the next morning. The hostel has a big comfortable lounge and kitchen area and great showers. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Private room with a sea view was wonderful. The communal area was spacious and comfortable. It was so convenient to be able to have a hot meal from their restaurant when I didn’t have the energy to go out and get something. The staff were all so friendly and helpful.

This was a last minute decision at night. I'm so grateful there was an available location close to Miyajima. Cozy, with all the amenities you'll need (microwave, potable water, shower, free disposable toiletries, play area for the kids) Very friendly staff. Local train takes you to Hiroshima or Miyajima, short walk away, starts early in the morning.

Hostel is very clean. The showers are really nice. I had one of those kind of half-rooms divided by curtain from the other beds. It's better than bunk bed in a dorm because you get some kind of privacy. The common area was very big, clean and nice. There is a table tennis, darts, books and other things that you can use. If you go to Mijayima (Itsukushima) island, location is perfect. If you want to go to Hiroshima, it takes around 1 hour by tram and a bit less by train. The staff was really nice and helpful.

Room was very large. We had use of a washing machine and plenty of space in the room to dry it as we stayed 2 nights. There were lots of food and snack options available, although we had our own food with us.
